Die Fondation Jean Monnet beherbergt ein Archiv, eine Mediathek und eine Bibliothek. Durch ihr Engagement setzt sie sich für die europäische Integration ein. Die Archive der FJM sind einmalig (Gedächtnis des Beginns der europäischen Union) und von hoher Qualität. Durch die Dokumentation und die Mediathek, die sie aufbaut und durch die Informationen, die sie aufbereitet, trägt sie wesentlich zur "Europäisierung" der Schweiz bei.

The Jean Monnet Foundation for Europe was build on the heritage of Jean Monnet. A wide range of publications which is the testimony of the succeeding steps towards the constitution of the European Union from the very beginning until today is found in Lausanne. The foundation Jean Monnet has an extensive archive, and a library.
The Jean Monnet Foundation advocates for the european integration. The archives are unique and of high quality, in fact they are the memory of the constitution of the European Union.
It aims also to bring Switzerland closer to Europe.

Die Fondation Jean Monnet in Lausanne hat zum Ziel, den Prozess der europäischen Integration zu fördern und zu erleichtern. Hauptaspekt sind die rechtlichen Aspekte der multilateralen Zusammenarbeit innerhalb der Europäischen Union. Die Fondation steht in engem Kontakt sowohl mit der Europäischen Kommission in Brüssel als auch mit den Regierungen. Dem Vorstand der Fondation gehören zahlreiche ehemalige und amtierende Staatspräsidenten an.

Abstract

|
The Jean Monnet Foundation in Lausanne aims at fostering and facilitating the process of European integration. Its main focus are the legal aspects of multilateral cooperation within the European Community. It is in close contact with the European Commission in Bruxelles as well as with the governments. Many former and present heads of states are members of the board of the Jean Monnet Foundation.
