Ultraprecise injection and adhesion of eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells by FluidFM technology
Abstract
(Deutsch)
The ability to obtain information at the single-cell level is of central importance for numerous biological questions and represents a major challenge. This project aims at developing two new application notes for the recently invented FluidFM technology with the goal of opening new market segments reaching scientists working in every biological laboratory. We will demonstrate: i) injection of 200 aL volumes into both eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms without lethal damage; and ii) force spectroscopy experiments with the same cells in less than five minutes.
