Based on the deliberations regarding the report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations "Peacebuilding in the immediate aftermath of conflict" of 2009, the UN commissioned a review of international civilian capacities. The review will provide recommendations on crucial aspects such as: effective and efficient deployment of capacities, frameworks and policy options for interoperability of the UN with regional entities and member states - and more specifically from the Global South and among women as well as ideas on how to ensure that deployments serve the goal of building national capacity.
