In 2008, Chatham House Africa Programme embarked on a three year project examining the economics and the relations between economics and conflict in the Horn of Africa. The Political Affairs Division IV (PD IV) contributed to the launch of this project in 2008. The present project is a continuation of the support of PD IV to the research programme of Chatham House in the region. Beside the access to quality academic material, the participation of PD IV in that project allows its collaborators working on the Horn of Africa to participate in high level policy meetings organized by Chatham House.
