Short description (English)

This project aims at realising a comparative study on the situation concerning homophobia and discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity in the Council of Europe Member States. The project is commissioned by the Commissioner for Human Rights building on the working methods and expertise gained by the FRA's study and report 'Homophobia and Discrimination on Grounds of Sexual Orientation in the EU Member States'. It has started in October 2009 and requires currently additional funds in order to terminate the study. The Swiss funds will contribute to the overall project and more particularly to the presentation of the report and the dialogue which will follow.
