The Swiss FDFA has steadily supported research activities at ICTJ for the last few years. This research project aims to deepen our understanding of transitional justice, both in terms of how it works in regard to a specific human rights problem-that is, displacement-and how it relates to the broader transitional context. The project is being conducted in collaboration with the Brookings Project on Internal Displacement in Washington, DC. The research activities for the second year will be decided in common with the FDFA after a process of both internal and external consultation as to possible research topics of strategic interest.
