Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
The goal of this project is to develop a fully automated and commercially viable video-based system for tracking basketball players during a game, interpreting their actions, and relating them to game strategies. This will provide spectators, commentators, and even coaches with a powerful and easy to use tool to better understand what exactly the players did and why. Furthermore, because we only require cameras observing the court, neither the players nor the ball will have to be equipped in any specific. We will simply expect the players to wear their regular uniforms.
