Les buts de ce projet sont les suivants:

1) Continuation of the study of vinclozolin

The group of Dr. Giacobino will assess the robustness of their observed transgenic effects of vinclozolin by repeating their completed studies using another strain of mouse. It will also assess whether oral administration of the same doses of vinclozolin that were tested by intraperitoneal administration lead to the same or different changes in methylation and phenotype.

2) Other compounds to investigate

The group of Dr. Giacobino will test whether the administration of others compounds known to affect male fertility lead to comparable DNA methylation (and phenotype) changes in their test system. It will test DEHP (di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate), one of the most widely used phthalates, or its toxicologically-active metabolite MEHP (mono-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate). Depending on the results and time devoted to obtain data with these compounds, it will also study the effect of the biocide cypermethrin and Bisphenol A, which are described to affect male fertility in mouse.
