Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Français)
The traction elements are subjected to harsh conditions. As a result, they deteriorate and are put to higher stresses and if they are not replaced they undergo to a sudden breakage. For these reasons, it is highly important to detect any sign of fatigue as early as possible. Although different techniques exist, they all have drawbacks such as reliability, resolution, and complexity. The focus of the project is to analyze the feasaibility to develop a system that will overcome these drawbacks.
