Novel materials employing cross-disciplinary nanotechnology principles will lead to important innovation in the area of nanomedicine, targeting the needs of biotech industries working in health-care applications. This project aims to develop implantable bio-based devices, based on novel carbon based nano-materials, which can mimic the chemical and physical properties of living cells and tissues. These devices will have important impact for a novel generation of neuroprostheses.
