Abstract (English)	The feasibility study examines a new class of wavelets and their potential use in the processing of acoustic signals. The mathematical form of the wavelet is derived by an abstract mathematical model for the signal processing in the inner ear. The idea is to use this very same wavelet in numerical computer experiments to explore its performance and limits with respect to analysis and manipulation of acoustic data, such as data compression or de-noising.

The feasibility study examines a new class of wavelets and their potential use in the processing of acoustic signals.
