Abstract (German)	In this project the optical head for a new optical data storage drive targeted at the professional global data archival storage market will be developed. The innovation is the use of a new micro holographic storage (HDS) technology that promises better performance than existing data archival storage technologies. The HDS technology will use polycarbonate discs similar to today‟s DVDs as the media provider.
