Abstract (Deutsch)

We propose to explore the miniaturization of electrically-deformable lenses in view of their application to two medical fields: endoscopy and ophthalmology. A central goal of this project is to explore alternative actuation technologies that may better suit the requirements of the medical applications. We also wish to gain a better understanding of the medical potential through collaboration with practitioners and manufacturers.
