Project aims (German)

Ziel der zu erarbeitenden Literaturübersicht zur Opiatsubstitutionsbehandlung ist es, den Schweizer Fachleuten in der Substitutionsbehandlung die Kenntnisse zum aktuellen Stand der Substitutionsforschung zugänglich zu machen, um die Behandlungsqualität weiter zu erhöhen.

1) Literature review of opiate substitution treatment for increased up to date knowledge of Swiss specialists working in opioid treatment
2) Basis for improvement of quality of care: Discussion basis for a panel process
3) Contribution to international discussion on methadone treatment to stimulate outcome-oriented international discussion of researchers and specialists to the benefit of patients

Abstract (English)

A review of recent literature in opiate substitution treatment, mainly methadone treatment, will be conducted, with respect to benefits risks and costs with a particular emphasis on apropriate-ness, the necessity, the conditions, and the circumstances of treatment, namely setting, pati-ent caracteristics, substitute substance and dosage.
