Abstract (Englisch)

Compliance evaluation of food contact materials (FCM) is a complex business process based on material composition and structure information in combination with migration and exposure data. Migration and Exposure modeling are highly innovative and efficient tools to assess compliance of FCM. Aim of the project is the development of a software tool for migration and exposure calculations capable to solve the diffusion equation for a multilayer FCM integrable under consideration of variability and uncertainty and verifiable with a database populated with compliance requirements to generate compliance certificates.
