CC-TRS: A universal system to streamline purification of peptides and proteins
Abstract
(French)
This project sets out to generate and optimize novel and innovative technologies to be used in the production and purification of peptides and proteins. It is based on the combination of two key principles: (1) covalent capture (CC), a proprietary technique by which proteins of both synthetic and recombinant origin can be stringently purified at high capacity and low cost, and (2) a tag removal system (TRS), a second proprietary technique enabling the CC tag to be efficiently removed by selective enzymes to yield the sequence precisely corresponding to the native protein. The combination of both technologies, referred to as CC-TRS, corresponds to an unmet need in the fields of research and manufacturing and will be incorporated into robust and validated packages developed for sale or licensing.
