Abstract (German)

The positive influence of event data recorders (EDR's) for four-wheel vehicles is by now well documented. Besides a benefice on the drivers behaviour due to control, they deliver important objective information for crash reconstruction in case of injuries. Mainly because of the dynamic complexity of two-wheel vehicles, there is no comparable EDR available for motorcycles. The goal of the project is to develop and realize a motorcycle event data recorder together with an event analyzer capable to deliver founded insight into the behaviour of the driver-machine system in pre- and post-crash situations.
