SoLiTe (Soil Liquefaction Test): Investigation methodology for soil liquefaction risk evaluation through a portable microwave water content measurement device
Abstract
(English)
Development of a new revolutionary measurement methodology through a portable microwave instrument for the measurement of the water content in saturated alluvial soils. The water content of undisturbed soil is a direct indicator, in combination with the granulometry of the liquefaction risk under seismic loads. The goal is to develop a measurement methodology and a support instrument able to trace a complete soil water content profile in function of the depth by two sensors in probe pipes. This device will allow to determine the apparent density and thus the liquefaction risk.
