Large Area solar simulator integrating power Light Emitting Diodes for performance measurement of new generations of photovoltaic modules (SUNSIM)
Abstract
(French)
High precision solar simulators will become crucial to characterize the next generation of low cost PV modules. This new generation displays either transient responses which prevent the use of the flashers commonly used for their measurements, and/or multiple-junction features, which require a perfect solar spectrum matching over large area. In this project, a new large area characterization tool, satisfying criteria on homogeneity, spectrum, and temporal stability will be developed, prototyped and tested.
