Abstract (French)

Prediggo SA develops and sells a recommender system that allows eShops to better target items to their customers. Prediggo uses a patented technology ¿ Ontology Filtering ¿ that allows to make real time recommendations, thus enabling on-the-fly customization of items in order to increase sales and margins. The aim of this project is to extend the functionality of the recommender by a new Intelligent Search engine capable of finding items based on explicit user preferences and fuzzy queries. This project will start with an analysis of the existing state-of-the-art, followed by the conceptualisation of a new search engine, and will end with a working prototype.
