Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
The principal goal of this project is the development of a 1Gb/s optical data link over SI-POF (step-index plastic optical fiber). The final system-on-chip (SoC) solution has a digital interface including MAC functionalities. CSEM is in charge of the analog frontend, interfacing the external optical transceiver, and the digital modem, consisting of data modulation/demodulation and data recovery. In a first phase of this CTI-request, the optical link and the corresponding analog interfaces are implemented. In a second phase, and subsequent CTI-request, the required modulation scheme will be developed, simulated and implemented in order to achieve the 1Gb/s data rate.
