Abstract (Englisch)	UNIGE proposes to test GKT-generated proprietary NOX inhibitors in in vitro and in vivo models of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). ALS is an incurable orphan disease, which potentially allows rapid entry of GKT inhibitors into clinical trials. Because chronic NOX inhibition might lead to immunosuppression, such possible adverse effect of GKT inhibitors will also be evaluated. This is a scientifically challenging project requiring collaboration between GKT and the academic laboratory. The project will add value through opening the CNS field for GKT.
