Development of assay systems to screen T cell subsets in patients undergoing immunosuppressive therapy including coronin 1 mediated interventions and to screen for and design potential inhibitors of coronin 1.
Abstract
(German)
The leukocyte specific molecule coronin 1 is required for the survival of naïve T cells. Inhibition of coronin 1 is a novel approach in immunosuppressive therapy. The first goal is to develop a T cell subsets screening procedure to follow patients undergoing immunosuppressive therapy, to analyze the correlation between paucity of naïve T cells and effectiveness of immunosuppression. The second goal of the project is to develop a diagnostic assay to be used for screening potential coronin 1 inhibitors.
