The objective is to develop new methods for the generation of recombinant cell lines for the production of therapeutic recombinant proteins using two novel vehicles for gene delivery into mammalian cells - the piggyBac (PB) transposon and an HIV1-derived lentivirus vector. We aim to enhance the speed and efficiency for obtaining high-producing cell lines. The results are expected to provide a competitive advantage for ExcellGene SA in the development of recombinant cell lines for protein manufacturing.
