Objectifs du projet
(Anglais)
The goal of this project is to gain a better understanding of how the criminal justice systems in Latin America are working to address past human rights violations and to what extent they are complying with international standards, with a main focus on the perspective of victims, through two questions 1) Have victims in these countries effectively benefited from transitional justice processes? and 2) Have guarantees been introduced in those countries so that human rights violations will not take place again? Based on this study, workshops with judges and other justice operators to promote the results of the report and to enhance the best practice in this field have been organized as well as thematic hearing before the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights to present the results of this project.
