RE-Manufacturing: Concepts & Methods for Resource Effective Part Manufacturing
Abstract
(German)
The objectives of this proposal are to develop new models and guidelines for resource effective part manufacturing for the Swiss machine tool industry and the end users involved in effective part manufacturing. The expected results are the following: a) New models of different machine tool systems for the use phase energy consumption and environmental impact evaluation in complex applications; b) A new. eco-benchmarking method to compare MTSs across multiple criteria including energy consumption and environmental impacts and market a machine tool across technical, economical and environmental competitive advantages c) New concepts / guidelines based on eco-design recommendations for machine tools for a more energy efficient use; d) New concepts / guidelines for a more efficient use of the machine tool in operation.
