Sustainable technology for 90Sr detection in the environment and for the production of a 90Y/90Sr generator devoted to nuclear medicine laboratories
Abstract
(Englisch)
The project RADIOSAF has allowed the development of a novel and sustainable method for providing fast, economically profitable and efficient detection and analysis of heavy metal ions, particularly radium und uranium, in drinkable water. Actually, a large spectrum of customers use our products. In order to enlarge the variety of our products, a new project devoted of the extraction of other radionuclides is proposed. We will use the concept of ion imprinted polymer to synthesize a new generation of resins for extraction chromatography to be applied in the environmental analysis of radiolanthanides and 90Y (for 90Sr analysis). The project concerns also the production of a 90Y/90Sr generator for nuclear medicine laboratories.
