Renewable Energy System Compact Modeling (RESCOM)
Abstract
(German)
In this project a model-based data mining approach is applied to develop and calibrate a comprehensive and compact model for renewable energy heating systems. The physics-based simulation tool Polysun serves as a forward solver in this project and, with its broad customer range, to disseminate research results after the project. Using symbolic regression and genetic algorithms, a new scheme is developed, which outperforms every other model in terms of computational efficiency and accuracy. The ultimate goal is then to implement a real-time design feature into Polysun, which allows a large user range to do close-to-reality yet efficient system optimizations for solar energy and heat pump applications.
