Abstract (English)

Reducing the size of high quality medical ultrasound machines require new transmitter system concepts and the integration of major parts in application specific integrated circuits (ASICs). This feasibility study project has the goal to evaluate the optimal system concept, respecting the main challenges like the drive of high voltages and high currents with frequencies up to 15MHz and very tight jitter specifications, the thermal power management and the PCB complexity.
