The prophy paste Cleanic® has the unique ability of successively cleaning and polishing teeth. In order to make the transition cleaning → polishing visible, an indicator is to be developed. The indicator shows the exact moment that the particle size distribution of the abrasive corresponds to the change from cleaning to polishing mode. The resulting indicator enables the dentist or dental hygienist to make an optimum use of the prophy paste.
