This project aims at developing a novel low-cost gas sensor module based on laser photoacoustic spectroscopy for the monitoring of medium-size molecules with unresolved absorption spectra. The module combines high compactness, the use of readily available and inexpensive parts and gas sampling by simple diffusion. A specific sensitive measurement cell will be developed, as well as a novel cost-effective ceramic laser package, integrating temperature measurement and regulation and obviating the need for hermetic packaging and thermoelectric cooling.
