Abstract (Englisch)	BRIGHTPOWER aims at developing high energy femtosecond fiber laser sources for industrial applications. The system will combine a unique blend of state of the art ultrafast oscillator technology, advanced amplifier and large mode area fibers, innovative free-space and fiber based pulse-shaping techniques as well fiber components and nonlinear materials. The final ultrafast system will thus be capable of providing higher average powers, higher pulse energies and peak powers than existing purely solid-state or all-in-fiber based laser systems, while maintaining excellent pulse and spectral quality. High-brightness supercontinuum generation and non-linear frequency conversion will greatly benefit from the availability of high-quality, high-energy pulses.
