Development of an Integrated Circuit Magnetic Sensor having the characteristics of an ideal Hall Cell for use in isolated current transducers.
Abstract
(French)
Magnetic sensors based on the Hall effect are widely used in isolated current transducers and other applications. However their behaviour is not ideal in several respects. Their offset is generally too high (the output voltage when thereis zero magnetic input); and the offset and sensitivity (gain) both drift with aging and temperature. In this project, Hallcells will be integrated in a silicon ASIC with calibration and correction circuits so that both offset and sensitivityimperfections will be negligibly small.
