Long-Wavelength VCSEL Modules for Coarse-Wavelength-Division-Multiplexing Optical Networks
Abstract
(English)
The project will develop long wavelength vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) operating at the CWDM wavelength grid and compatible with smart packaging schemes for drastically reducing wavelength multiplexing costs. Within an MNT-ERA European collaboration, these VCSELs will be employed for providing high data-rate, highly integrated optical interconnects solutions and demonstrating their commercial applicability in aeronautics, wireless broadband mobile networks and severe-environment communications.
