The Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD) is an independent, Geneva-base foundation whose purpose is to prevent human suffering in war. Its humanitarian approach starts from the premsie that preventing and resolving armed conflict is the surest means of doing so, and to this end, HD promotes and facilitates dialogue between belligerents. This project, led by the HD Human Security and Small Arms Programme, aims to explore issues and provide guidance on armed violence reduction and weapons control activities in peace agreements and processes.
