Kurzbeschreibung (Englisch)	In Guatemala, the agrarian issue continues to be the centre of countless conflicts. As stated by the 1996 Peace Accords, in the land register lies a key element of rural development, in a country where the majority of the population does not own any kind of document provings the land's ownership. On the other hand, the land register is an indispensable tool to increase the rule of law in a post conflict country, which is still living a difficult transition period. This project, led by UTARA, will produce a diagnostic on the land conflcits in 4 Departments of the country where the land register is to be implemented, and its main findings should thus facilitate the execution of the Swiss Land Register Project supporte by SECO.
