The Central Asian Mountain Partnership (CAMP) is an innovative program, which started in 2000; lt aims at promoting sustainable mountain development by encouraging a more economically, ecolagically and socially sustainable use of resources, through different stakeholders in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan. CAMP supports sustainable and multifunctional use of natural and human resources by implementing various projects in four interconnected fields:
resources use, product development and marketing, village development and advocacy work.
Project aims

CAMP has two overarching goals:

1. to help ensure that mountain resources are used in a rnultifunctional and sustainable manner in Central Asia and particularly in the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan.

2. to help ensure that sustainable management of mountain resources Ieads to better living conditions for the poor majority of mountain people in the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan.
