Short description (English)

The study presents in a serie of 11 fiches a typology of main conflict analysis tools, considering which parameters they cover (such as root causes of conflict, conflict actors, needs, key conflict issues, etc.), which methodology they apply, in the perspective of their respective use in relation with effective conflict transformation policy needs.

Project aims (English)

This research aimed at reinforcing the understanding of existing conflict analysis tools and foster comparison. It is geared specifically to conflict transformation actors such as political units in charge of peace promotion activities within a Ministry of foreign affairs. It was developed in close interaction with the Political Affairs Division of the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
