LOVESim: LOw Frequency Versatile Electromagnetic Simulator
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
The objective of this CTI project is to develop a versatile and robust electromagnetic simulation tool (Low Frequency Versatile Electromagnetic Simulator (LOVESim)) in the low frequency or static range with extended capabilities, including highly inhomogeneous full body anatomical human models. Although the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method has proven to be robust and efficient in the radio frequency range, the simulation of quasi-static electromagnetic fields for complex simulation scenarios must be further investigated. Different quasi-static models, characterization of the robustness and efficiency on complex and huge meshes, and the generation of flexible and realistic human body models based on MRI scan images will be implemented in this study. The final product shall be utilized to prove compliance with electromagnetic safety limits at work places, to improve medical therapeutic and diagnostic applications and to improve the reliability for a large variety of industrial products.
