Next Generation Workflow Platform for Life Science Applications (Feasibility Study)
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
In the pharmaceutical, biotechnical and diagnostics segments, laboratory automation has helped to increase efficiency, productivity and throughput of a laboratory. The bottlenecks are now to process and interpret the huge amount of data and to coordinate different sub-processes. There is up to now no common standards for workflow integration and equipment interface for life science applications. Consequently, end-users such as pharmaceutical companies are faced to several hardware and software interfaces and must fight against compatibility issues when integrating hardware and software equipment from different vendors. The lack of compatibility prevents from managing and exchanging data across the process flow in an effective way. Our goal is to provide an efficient development platform to streamline workflow processes. This will allow seamless data exchange between partners along the value chain and shorten time-to-results.
