The goal of this project is to develop a small low-cost receiver front-end for dedicated short range communications (DSRC) with very low power consumption for long-term operation. The complete receiver front-end shall basically consist of an efficient compact single antenna, a simple demodulation diode, and a low-power analog front-end with sleep-mode functionality using a dedicated wake-up circuit. The main challenges are the very low power consumption and the compact design.
