PLASMONIC SENSOR APPLIED TO BEVERAGE PRODUCTION MONITORING
Abstract
(Deutsch)
This project aims at developing a novel analytical instrument for the final quality control in the beverage industry. The innovative part of the project consists in the application of coupled plasmon-waveguide resonance spectroscopy in the mid infrared. Associated with the structuring of the metallic film, one could adapt the spectroscopic properties to the substances to analyze. Moreover, this transducer has to satisfy the constraints of the food industry directive. In the previous project (No. 7754.1 NMPP-NM) the concept has been studied successfully for the visible wavelength range. In this project, we will reproduce the setup for the mid infrared. The sensor potential will be improved by implementation of sub micron structured materials.
