The project examines the way in which local communities respond to the legacy of violence in their midst on a social and individual level in an effort to determine the level of interaction, if any, with the mechanisms of transitional justice employed on a national level in the two countries

The results of the project will be published in a volume of the swisspeace working papers and be presented at public events. The visual documentation will be exhibited in Guatemala and Bosnia-Herzegovina and in other locations upon request.
