Résumé des résultats (Abstract) (Anglais)	Establishment of a biomarker for in vivo activity of Neurotrypsin and development of an in-vitro test to diagnose sarcopeniaThe goal of the proposed project is develop a commercial test to monitor the activity of the synapse-modulating protease Neurotrypsin, by measuring the product of Neurotrypsin¿s proteolytic activity. The assay for the Neurotrypsin-dependent biomarker in the cerebrospinal fluid and the blood will provide an important tool to monitor Neurotrypsin activity during preclinical and clinical stages of our drug development projects with small molecule inhibitors of Neurotrypsin. The assay for the biomarker will also provide the basis for the development of a diagnostic test for Neurotrypsin activity in the context of neuro-psychiatric disturbances, as well as Neurotrypsin-related disturbances outside of the nervous system.
