Trans-national project with participants from Spain, Switzerland and Austria. The specific objective of this eTranet project (ICT in Traditional Manufacturing Industries) is to introduce NICT in order to establish more effective and efficient supply chains by means of data capture, data analysis and decision support systems (DSS). The main objective of this project is to go a step forward in the food processing (i.e. production system and its related product and production processes introducing in particular real time and automated acquisition of data) and supply chain facilities development, introducing ICT offering an integrated Business Process Management System (BPMS) for the Food Industry and leveraging the Knowledge Management at every level of the value chain.
