Design, modeling and optimization of a piezoelectric actuator for mechatronic lock systems
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
KABA AG was founded in 1862 and has since developed from a local locksmith works to a leading provider in the fields of access control and locking systems. A mechatronic lock cylinder, one of the company's core products, contains an actuator, which makes it possible to block or release the cylinder dependent on the admission authorization of the user. We intend to develop a piezoelectric actuator dedicated to this application and to optimize it, based on a design methodology developed at LAI which combines concepts from design of experiments with numerical simulations using the ANSYS finite element software. First of all, the construction of a numerical model of a dedicated actuator as well as its parameterization will be accomplished. A sensitivity analysis will indicate the significant parameters for the optimisation using the finite element model. Along with this process, prototypes will allow for experimental data in order to validate the adopted design methodology. The successful conclusion of this project will lead to the marketing of new and innovative mechatronic and electronic locking systems by KABA AG.
