Abstract (English)

The development, by a multidisciplinary team, of a novel portable diagnostic equipment to measure the chronometric performances of mechanical watches. Each team member will contribute to the project by bringing in state of the art technology and know how in different fields (design and ergonomics, electronics, micromechanics, sensors). Innovation in terms of design and ergonomics will be particularly put forward. A collaboration with a Chinese partner will help the team develop a device to be used on the Asian and worldwide markets. It will also pave the way for future collaboration and will allow FEMTO SA to enter a booming market.
