This project deals with the definition of a Heat Exchanger design platform built around a specifically studied Knowledge Based System (KBS). The advanced design platform will be realized by integrating synergistically the KBS with Experimental activities, Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations and Heat Exchanger design software tools. The design platform will be applied for designing innovative HE with an method based on the integration of new or previously untried approaches in the design and production process of heat exchangers.
