Short description (English)	ISEC - INNOVATIVE SERVICE ENGINEERING FOR CHINESE CUSTOMERS
Abstract (English)	The new markets in Asia offer interesting growth potentials for many manufacturing companies in Switzerland. Swiss companies have recognized these growth potentials. They are increasingly exporting to Asian markets and establishing production plants in these countries. In order to be successful in Asian markets in the long term, Swiss companies will be dependent on generating additional sales volumes through services in addition to sales through their actual product business. Reality shows, however, that the majority of companies have great difficulty in generating the envisaged service sales volume. Companies tend to find themselves confronted with the mentality that services should by definition be 'free of charge'. The goal of this project is to work with companies to develop and implement solutions to increase the sales volume from services in China markets. We work together with companies with an interest in expanding service business in China on the joint development of suitable solutions.
