Model surfaces for hair and fabrics: Spatial distribution of perfumes \& products' components (Fortsetzung von 4697.1)
Abstract
(English)
The rational design of novel and improved perfumes and delivery systems for consumer products such as detergents and conditioners requires a better understanding of the interactions of these compounds with their target surfaces, i.e. hair and fabrics. In the precursor project, using surface sensitive analytical techniques, sensor devices have been developed, allowing for the first time analysis of molecular surface properties and in-situ measurements of the absorption process of perfume chemicals to model surfaces made of keratin and cellulose. In the current project we will emphaize imaging techniques to visualize the lateral distribution of compounds coadsorbed with surfactant or polymeric micelles, vesicules or capsules on these model surfaces.
